Maple Mountain Track & Cross Country

Golden Eagles

This blog will be used to provide information about Maple Mountain Cross Country and Track and Field. We are very excited for the chance to start this new program and are looking forward to getting started. We know that there is great potential to have a real state powerhouse in track and cross country at Maple Mountain.

We know that some of you are having to make choices about coming to Maple Mountain or staying at Springville or Spanish Fork. We wish you the best of luck in that choice and support you in whatever choice you make. For those of you who are coming to Maple Mountain We know from experience that the first year of a new school is one of the funnest and most memorable years in school. The traditions you set that first year will be past on to future generations. You have the chance to set all the new school records. Meet new friends and have experiences that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

We have been busy hiring our coaching staff for our new program. Coach Dave Boyack and Coach Reggie Kovatch of Spanish Fork High will be a part of our coaching staff and are excited to start a new program. Coach Melanie Barker former Springville High coach will also be a part of our staff and is excited to be a part of our new program. Our staff is coming together and we have a state of the art track complex. We have thought a lot about the new program and know that the potential is there for us to realistically be region champions in our first year. Those who have had us before know that the key will be to have as many people as we can participate in cross country and track and field. Come and be a part of helping establish a championship tradition at Maple Mountain. For those of you who all ready know that you are going to be doing track and or cross country at MMHS bring a friend or two to join. We have been over to the track several times and have included some photos of the state of the art complex.

We have envisioned hosting state track and cross country invitationals at Maple Mountain. We have envisioned seeing the first school records that will be set during the first year. We have envisioned seeing a whole lot of members of our teams having success. We have also envisioned seeing the first state champion team at Maple Mountain. We are very excited to be apart of this new program and look forward to meeting all of you in the coming months and look forward to being a part of Maple Mountain High School.
