Golden Eagles—
With all the work of the first two weeks of practice it is time to have a “pay day” in a track meet. This week you get to have two opportunities to see some of your hard work pay off. We have been pleased with the work you all have put into practice. Keep it up and keep pushing yourself and your TEAM-mates and good things will come. Thanks for being a part of this TEAM. Below are items of note for all of you. As always if you have any questions just ask.
Fundraising cards: Please give back ALL of the unsold cards to Coach Wyatt ASAP & turn in all fundraising money to the finance office ASAP. Thank you to all of you who have participated in this fundraiser for your TEAM. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Paperwork: We need to have all of your paperwork and fees paid before you can compete. First meet is this Tuesday. So get that taken care of. Thank you to all of you who already have done this.
Uniforms: Will be checked out to athletes on Monday during practice. These uniforms are to be checked back in at the end of the season. These uniforms are to only be worn at track meets. Remember you represent more than just yourself when you put on that Maple Mountain uniform. You represent your family, your TEAM, your school, and those TEAM-mates who have worn that uniform before you. Wear it with pride!

The second meet this week is a “Relay Challenge Meet” This meet is a fun meet and a great chance for us to compete in some fun events that are not normally held (i.e. the throwers relay, sprint medley, shuttle hurdle relay). For many of our athletes who competed last year in this meet they have commented on how it was one of the highlights of the year. We are the defending TEAM champions in this meet and hope to repeat this year. The Cougar Relays are on Friday March 16th and Saturday March 17th at Kearns High School. (5525 Cougar Lane, Kearns Utah. By the Olympic Ice Oval) This meet is set up in a Frosh/Soph & Varsity style. On Friday will be all of the Varsity field events and all of the Frosh/Soph running events. On Saturday will be all of the Varsity running events and the Frosh/Soph field events. In this meet, athletes will compete in events chosen by the coaches. We will do our best to try to get every athlete into an event; however this is not always possible. Thanks for your understanding on this. IF you know you, for some reason, will not be attending this meet please let Coach Wyatt know by end of practice Monday. Thanks. Other notes for this week for everyone to be aware of, with the end of the term (Thursday) make sure that you are meeting the requirements to be academically eligible & taking care of all NC’s. Final challenge that we have for you is that at the meets you take the time to cheer on your fellow TEAM-mates as they compete. Thank you to all of you for a good first two weeks of the season. Keep up the hard work and it will pay off. Thanks for being a part of this TEAM.
Thanks & Happy Running, Jumping, & Throwing!!!
