The Zubs Athletes of the meet honors go to Shay LeFevre and Sam Raleigh for showing tremendous guts for the meet. Way to go you two.

We as coaches couldn't be prouder of all of you and the success you had yesterday. Now that was just one meet and we have more to go. The secret is out of the bag now and we now have a big target on our backs and the rest of the region is gunning for us. Lets keep the KAIZEN going in all that we do and bring on the Grass Relays! Whats more fun than HAY?

Now some informational items for our wonderful parents. We thank you for your votes about the Cedar invite. We have just found out that Park City has changed their meet to be on Saturday October 3rd. So we are going to go to that meet. This will not cost any extra and we will not spend the night and everyone will be able to support our football team on Friday October 2nd as they play host to Springville.

Second item of business is that we are going to be selling some of our Cross Country Kaizen shirts to any of you who would like one. The cost is $7.00 and We are hoping to have them here by September 11th. If you wish to purchase these shirts the money needs to be given to the financial office at MMHS. Then give the recite to your athlete so they can give it to Coach Wyatt so that we can make sure we get them to everyone who ordered one. We can't thank you enough for your support.

1st Week of August Practice Notes

Golden Eagles--

We just wanted to put a few items as reminders for all of you. We have added links on the right of the blog page to all the required forms for cross country. All of those forms are due before the 1st day of school. (Only 2 1/2 weeks away!?!) Please fill them out and get them back to the coaches as soon as possible. We also need a copy of your 4th term grades. This can be printed off from your SIS page. Also a reminder that sports physicals are being offered at MMHS on Monday at 7:00am. Cost is $20.00.

We are looking forward to another great Thursday night run this week. This one we will be running up Stewart Falls. This is a really beautiful and fun run. Make sure you can be there and bring a friend. To that end, just another reminder that it is never to late to join our TEAM. Get out there and get your friends to come and join our TEAM. It is a lot of fun and it is something that can be personally rewarding. Lets try to make another push to get people out. We meet Monday - Friday at 7:00am at the track at MMHS.

We are getting to the end of our summer training and our first meet (Pre-Region) is fast approaching. We really need to keep up the hard work and make sure we keep each other running. We are only as strong as all of us. Keep on building the foundation for a great season and a great program at Maple Mountain.

We wanted to thank and congratulate all of you who participated in the Mark the Great 5K today. That was a great cause to be a part of. Congrats to those of you who improved on your times. Kaizen! Also congrats to Spencer Hanson and Holden Adams who went 2nd and 3rd overall in this race.

Thanks,
