Below are the results from the past two meets. We as coaches are really pleased with the way that the TEAM is progressing. There are some really good times and marks being made by our whole TEAM. The Golden Eagles made history by winning the Mt. Timpanogos Invite. Way to go Eagles!

Yesterday was the meet with the most wind that we have had in a while. Yet we still had numerous PR's set. Well done TEAM. Thank you to all of you that helped with the setup, take down, and running of the meet. It is greatly appreciated. Full results can be seen below.

UHSTCA INVITE RESULTS & Mt. TIMP INVITE INFO

With our first Invite in the history books it was great to see all the history that we had. It was one of the only times we will be able to say that we set over 16 school records in one day!!! The school records are listed below. Congrats to all of those who hold these records! Not only was it a school record day, but it was a personal record day for so many on our young TEAM. Congrats to all of you for setting those personal best marks. Remember that we are always talking about improving ourselves each day. The hard work in practice really does pay off. Thank you for all that you have done for our TEAM.

Now we do have the Mt. Timpanogos Invite this Thursday and Friday at Timpview High School (3570 Timpview Drive Provo, UT 84604) The start time on both days is 3:30. The bus will leave MMHS at 2:00pm on both days. Make sure you are on the bus or we will leave you behind. The order of events is as follows:

Help Needed

We are looking for help with three upcoming meets that we are hosting.  We need help running the events, timing, bull pin, etc.. These are the dates we are looking for help:

Tuesday, March 30, 2010                                  3pm - about 7pm

Friday, April 16, 2010- Saturday, April, 17, 2010          3pm - about 7pm  & 8:30am-  about 5pm

Wednesday, May 5, 2010- Thursday, May 6, 2010        3pm- about 7pm both days

Quick note for all about the Coaches Invite this Saturday. The bus will leave at 8:00AM sharp! Make sure that you are at MMHS by 7:45am. The Meet is at Timpanogos High School (150 East 1430 North Orem) The order of events is as follows:

Salem Hills, Payson, Uintah and Maple Mtn. Meet Results

Golden Eagles --

What a great sight that was to see the sea of maroon in all of the events. This was a great starting place for our TEAM. We as coaches were pleased with what we saw. There were several amazing performances in this meet. Congrats to the boys and girls TEAMs for coming away with "the first" wins of Maple Mountain Track & Field history. Now we have to apologize for the problems with the results and not being able to post them. We will post them as soon as we have fixed the CPU problems. For now you can see the results in Coach Wyatt's classroom (C-108). Again sorry about the meet results problem.

Now there are just a few things to bring up in this post. We are planning on having our spirit pack stuff distributed by the end of this week. Also there will be TEAM practice this Friday the 19th for those who are invited to attend the UHSTCA Invite on Saturday the 20th. We will post more information about the UHSTCA Invite later this week. Thanks for all your hard work and support. Go EAGLES!!!

Simplot Games

Golden Eagles --

So sorry that it has taken two weeks to get this post up we will do a better job in the future. The end of our first "track pre-conditioning" season came with our TEAM's trip to the Simplot games. This was an amazing chance for our TEAM. It was a great experience for everyone including us Coaches. It provided a wonderful chance to see how our young new TEAM did against national competition. One of the biggest highlights was to see the look on all of your faces when you saw that track for the first time. That was one that was priceless. Of the 24 athletes who participated in this meet. Only 4 had been to the Simplot Games before! There were many highlights it is hard to include all of them here. Even with such a young TEAM we had many PR's set for the season! Some of the highlights are as follows:

Junior Spencer Hanson placed 6th in the 3200 with a time of 9:40.98 making it to the podium at this national meet! Way to go Spencer!

Senior Parker Cressman also placed 6th in the High Jump with a height of 6' 3"! Way to go Parker!

The boys 4x400 relay team of Seniors Jordan Cuthbert, Brent Strong, and Jeff Brammer along with Junior Eddie Prothero made it to finals and finished 8th with a time of 3:34.34! Way to go boys!

Thanks to all of you for going and doing your best. Big thanks to all of your parents for allowing you all to go and providing the money to go. Also big thanks to Coaches Kovatch, Lake, Swenson, and Boyack for all the time, help, and support. Coach Lake thanks for running one of the best 200's of the meet! Thanks to our Nebo School District friends from Spanish Fork, Payson, and Salem Hills Highs for the combined bus ride of a life time. Thanks to Bob for driving all of us there and back safely. Thank You to all of you for helping make this a historic first season. Now let’s focus on the outdoor track and field season and as our school motto says; "Take Flight!"

Schedule Change

The Maple Mtn. Invite has been cancelled on March 27, 2010.  Please mark on your calendars that we will be attending the Mt. Timpanogos invite March 25-26, 2010 at Timpview High School instead.  Also the dual meet against Westlake has been moved to Tuesday, March 24, 2010 instead of Wednesday.  Sorry for any inconveniences.
