REGION CHAMPIONS!!!
Golden Eagles –
Congrats to all of you on your Region Championship!!! Every one of you on this TEAM helped to bring this about. Congrats. Congrats to Britney Lund on being the individual Region Champion. She led the charge along with TEAMmates Megan Gutke placing 2nd, Brigette Harris placing 8th with an all time best time,  Elli Eastmond placing 11th, and we want to welcome back from injury Regan Pond, who in an amazingly determined performance ran a season best time and placed 13th, Christy Wilkinson placed 33rd, and Kaitlyn Tischer rounded out the varsity race placing 40th. This was an amazing TEAM effort by everyone during this 5K race! We are so pleased with the effort everyone on the whole TEAM made in this meet. Let’s keep this up all the way through to the end. Keep Believing in each other, keep working hard, and keep reaching for your goals! Keep racing with the same heart & determination you did at this meet & great things will come your way.Why not us & why not now?! Who says it has to be someone else? Why not US?Let’s go for it at State on Wednesday!

This was a great meet for almost everyone on our TEAM. The improvements we have made all year are just amazing. We really gave our best effort and just came up short on the boy’s side. Let us never lose sight of the improvements we have made this whole season. Well done. Well done to Isaac Faux who qualified as an individual for the state meet.

Full race results can be found at www.runnercard.com

Now this week with the State Championships on Wednesday at Sugarhouse Park we are taking our whole TEAM up to cheer on our Girls as they race for the state title and as Isaac Faux races. The bus leaves MMHS at 11:30am. Students will be excused after 2nd period to go to the State Championships. This is during Lunch time. The Girls race at 1:30 and Isaac races at 3:00pm.

The Administration of Maple Mountain High School would like to thank and honor the members of both the boys & girls varsity TEAMs with a dinner Tuesday night at 5:00pm at Brick Oven in Provo. They would appreciate it if you were one of these 14 runners, if you could be there.

For those who are running with us for the footlocker western regional’s in December. We are still holding practices Monday – Thursday until we leave. Running is a lifestyle & a lifetime sport. Let’s keep running! Now for footlocker we do need all who are going to turn in their permission slips & remember to register for the race at www.active.com before November 1st.

Our end of season banquet will be sometime in mid November.

Happy Running!
